  • Serpent Mound – Famous world-wide as the largest and finest serpent effigy in the United States. Nearly a quarter of a mile long, Serpent Mound apparently represents an uncoiling serpent. Serpent Mound is on State Route 73, six miles north of State Route 32 and 20 miles south of Bainbridge in Adams County. For more information, call 937-587-2796.
  • Fort Hill - Fort Hill State Memorial is a nature preserve containing one of the best preserved Indian hilltop enclosures in North America. The Hopewell Indians (100 B.C.-A.D. 500) constructed the 1 1/2 mile long earthwork hilltop enclosure as well as at least two ceremonial buildings and probably a village in the Brush creek Valley. Fort Hill is located off of State Route 41 on Township Road 256, five miles north of Sinking Springs and three miles south of Cynthiana in Highland County. For more information, call 1-800-283-8905.
  • Grant Boyhood Home -The Grant Boyhood Home in Georgetown was the home of Ulysses S. Grant, 18th president of the United States. Grant Boyhood Home is located 219 East Grant Avenue in Georgetown, in Brown County. For more information, call 937-378-4222.
  • Grant Schoolhouse - In 1823, Ulysses S. Grant’s parents moved twenty miles east to Georgetown, where his father opened his own tannery. Ulysses worked in his father's tannery and, from the ages of about six to thirteen, he attended classes in the little schoolhouse on Water Street. Grant Schoolhouse is located at 508 South Water Street, two blocks south of State Route 125, in Georgetown, Ohio.  For more information, call 937-378-4222.
  • Rankin House - The Rankin House was an important stop on the Underground Railroad in southern Ohio through which many slaves escaped from the South to freedom. The entrance road, Rankin Road, to the Rankin House runs northeast off of State Route 52 at the northeast edge of Ripley in Brown County. For more information, call1 (800) 752-2705.
  • Davis Nature Preserve - This 88-acre nature preserve, set in an area of exceptional scenic beauty, is of interest primarily to geologists and botanists. The preserve an impressive geologic fault, dolomite cliffs, a cave, and a diverse flora. There are two richly forested hiking trails. Davis Nature Preserve is located at the intersection of Township Road 126 and 129, about three miles east of Peebles between State Route 32 and 73 in Adams County.   • Adams Lake State Park – permits fishing and boating (nonpowered and electric motors only) on the 47-acre lake. The 95-acre park is now operated by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Recreation, located at 14633 State Route 41, West Union, Ohio. http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/parks/parks/adams.htm.
  • Chaparral Prairie -Located in Adams County approximately 3 miles northwest of West Union. Follow State Route 247 north to Chaparral Road (County Road 22-C), then go west to Hawk Hill Road (Township Road 23). The entrance is on the left side of Hawk Hill Road. Parking lot and trailhead are on the west side of the road.   • Edge of Appalachia Preserve -The Nature Conservancy and Cincinnati Museum Center own and manage eleven contiguous preserves lying along a 12-mile stretch of Ohio Brush Creek.  The history of this partnership dates back to 1959 when the Conservancy's Ohio Chapter made its first land purchase near the town of Lynx.  Today, the preserve provides critical habitat for more than 100 rare species.   • Ohio Buckeye Trail - For nearly 1435 miles, the Buckeye Trail winds around Ohio, reaching into every corner of the state. From a beachhead on Lake Erie near Cleveland, to an hilltop overlooking the Ohio River in Cincinnati, a hiker can experience a little of all that Ohio to offer. http://www.buckeyetrail.org/sec-westunion.html.
  • Hilltop Golf Course – 18-hole public course open year-round, located on Brown Hill Road, Manchester, call 937-549-2904.
  • Ohio River -Brushcreek Yates Landing 17085 US 52 at Brush Creek
    Manchester, Ohio 937-549-3380   Off season 937-549-4700  River- Unlimited boating, launch ramp fee; camping; island; food, picnic areas, rental boats and fuel. Government built public boat landing. Season is April through September.....weather and river permitting.

    Ohio River -Kinfolk Landing- Manchester -Follow the signs from US Route 52. Manchester's boating ramp to the Ohio River. During the Summer and Fall months large Paddle wheelers travel the river. River-Unlimited boating. Fishing, sailing, launch ramp fee.

  • Hillside Bird’s Nest has bird window feeders, thistle sacks, hummingbird supplies, suet, assorted birdhouses, books, seed and more, located at 35 Port Road off Wheat Ridge Road.
  • Keim Family Market offers Amish baked goods, cheeses and lots of things made from trees on Appalachian Hwy (Rt. 32) at 2621 Burnt Cabin Road near Seaman.
  • Miller’s Bakery, Bulk Food and Furniture features Amish home-baked breads, cookies, cakes, pies and rolls, a large selection of cheese and bulk foods, as well as handcrafted, solid oak furniture and wooden items, located at 960 Wheat Ridge Road.
  • Miller’s Country Store specializes in outdoor furniture including porch furniture and swings located on Unity Road.
  • Murphin Ridge Woodworking features custom woodworking, including cabinets, tables, trim and doors and is located on Murphin Ridge Road.
  • Raber’s Shoes and Saddlery specializes in Red Wing shoes, shoe repair, horse related items, such as saddles, bridles, halters, custom saddles, chaps and holsters,  located at 5212 Unity Road, off St. Rt. 32.
  • Scenic Country Books and Gifts features books and gifts, located on Wheat Ridge Road.

Yoder’s Variety Store offers fabric, sewing materials and quilt squares made by the Amish, located at 4399 Unity Road at the intersection of Wheat Ridge Road.
